Our History.
Vijayanagara Vivekananda Education Society started in the year 1990. Two great visionaries Sri.Hanumanthappa Sir and Smt.Nagarathna madam established the institution with their simple humbleness to provide qualitative education to all the needy and to provide life for the teachers who are in need of a job.
Establishment of "Priyadarshini Hindi Vidya Mandira".
The Duo's Sri.Hanumanthappa Sir and Smt.Nagarathna madam dream started with the opening of "Priyadarshini Hindi Vidya Mandira" in M.C.Layout, Vijayanagara, where their daughter Kum.Kusuma B.H started 'Dakshin Bharath Hindi' classes for the children in Vijayanagara locality. Children enjoyed the learning, getting their certificate of recognition for passing the various exams of Dakshin Bharath Hindi exams.
Establishment of "Vijayanagara Vivekananda Kannada Primary and High School"
- The success of "Priyadarshini Hindi Vidya Mandira" made the duo Sri.Hanumanthappa Sir and Smt.Nagarathna madam think of elaborating their service by establishing "Vijayanagara Vivekananda Education Society". The society was registered in the year 1989-90.
- Coming from the rural background and out of their passion for the Kannada language, the duo established the Vijayanagara Vivekananda Kannada Primary School in the year 1989-90, permission was obtained from the department of Primary and Secondary Education, Govt. of Karnataka. The school attracted children from all over Vijayanagara locality, their joy and success at various local competitions in the field of sports, culture apart from the departmental examinations, further created interest in establishing the High School in Kannada medium in the year 1993. School image crossed the boundaries of Vijayanagara and started attracting children from different corners of Bangalore. Teachers from different parts of the state started working in the school and expressed their ambitions to get into government aided teachers post. The 'duo' who's ambition was also to provide life for good number of teachers, started blooming. The management made up their mind to get the Kannada Medium Teachers post admitted for grant-in-aid from the government of Karnataka.
- The management is now successfully running Grant-in-aid Kannada Primary and Kannada High School. Students from all over the state now consider 'Vijayanagara Vivekananda School' as one of the premier institutions in the state. Students from all over the state are now joining 'Vijayanagara Vivekananda School' to realise their dream come true.
